Select an article from an online news media site. Find 2-3 good examples of
media bias as discussed in the OER module on Critical Media Literacy. What
effect do these have in the media messages that are conveyed to you?
Post one original reflection on the question above and two separate follow up responses to posts made by other students.
Posts should be one to two paragraphs long.
Both your post and your responses to peers must engage with relevant course concepts from that week’s lesson and assigned reading.
Be explicit in engaging course concepts in your discussions by using the terminology and ideas.
Make sure to provide any citations of sources used including course lessons and the OER in APA format.

Your first step for this assignment will be to find an article. You can find this on any news media site, and it does not have to be Canadian. Please try to use an actual news site rather than a blog post.
Using what you will learn in this weeks GNED500 OER Textbook chapter, find AT LEAST two (good) examples of media bias in the article.
After pointing these out, explain the effect that these messages have? What is the problem with bias in your article?
Find two of your classmates posts and provide them with an engaged response. This means that you must write more than that their post was interesting or that you agree with it. If you found it interesting – WHY did you find it interesting? If you agree with it – WHY do you agree with it?
What not to do:
Do not write a post about why media bias is bad, or what media bias is. Your post must include a link to an article and must use specific examples from the article.
Do not rely on your opinion alone. If an article is speaking badly of Donald Trump but you happen to like Donald Trump, this is not a good example of bias. You must find specific examples in the document and reflect them back to course content.
