Code of Ethics Guidelines
1. Research/Locate the Code of Ethics for your area of health care
specialty (Nursing) using Google or professional online health care sites. The Preamble is not required; however, all provisions/principles are required.
4. Use the headings below when formatting your document. Headings are to be both bolded and underlined: (ex-Section 1: Nursing Code of Ethics)
5. Your entire name, date and course number/section are to be typed on a cover page.
Important: Use the following format when completing the Code of Ethics Assignment.
Section 1: Insert Your Profession Here Code of Ethics
1. Type only the provisions portion of the Code of Ethics for your
specialty area (Ex- nursing, radiology etc.).
Section 2: Applying Basic Principles to my Code of Ethic
1. Review the Code of Ethics for your specialty area to determine what health care principles can be applied to each rule or provision.
2. Re-type each principle/ provision of the Code of Ethics for your specialty area and apply all relevant health care principle(s) (autonomy, veracity, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, confidentiality and role fidelity) for each Code of Ethics provision accompanied by a detailed explanation of how it applies.
Section 3: Compare/Contrast Code of Ethics
1. Compare your health care professions Code of Ethics to the American Medical Association Code of Ethics. Provide a detailed explanation of how the Code for your chosen health care technology differs from the code of Ethics for the American Medical Association?

Are there basic ethical principles missing from your Professional Code of Ethics? If so, write the rules that should be added to your code to address those areas accompanied by a detailed explanation for each. If you identify no necessary changes; provide a detailed explanation as to why not?
