This assignment consists of an individual assessment of group thinking and the decision-making process. You will start by gathering a small group of 3 or 4 people. This group can be made up of friends, family, or colleagues. Assess the exercise by discussing your group experience which includes the following:
What did you learn pertaining to groups from the exercise?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of group-thinking?
What are the benefits of group decision making?
Was the group hasty in decision-making? Why is hasty decision making viewed as negative or ineffective?
Was one group member more opinionated than others? What is the impact on other group members when this occurs?
What is the difference between a group and a team? In which aspect did your group operate?
Do you consider your group/team high-performing? Why or why not?
Why is it important for managers to understand the importance of effective decision-making in the workplace?
Your paper should be at least 2-3 pages in length (excluding cover page and references) and formatted according to APA guidelines, You must include a minimum of three credible academic or professional references beyond the text or other course materials.
