Review carefully the section of Chapter 18 entitled “the Progressive Presidents” (p. 563 of Foner’s vol. 2, 6th brief edition), especially the paragraph on “The Election of 1912” at the end of Chapter 18 and read more about by exploring the articles I posted on Blackboard in Course/Content- The Elections of 1912 folder. Then answer the following question:
If you were to vote in the Election of 1912, whom would you have voted for and why? Please be specific in giving the reasons for your choice. Explain which ideas of the candidate you endorsed did you like in particular and how those ideas would have benefited you and the nation. You may need to find out a little bit more about each candidate to make an informed decision.
