Choose ONE of the following themes and write an analytical essay about its role in the narrative. Write a good, clear introduction, introducing author and title. Write a good topic sentence, broad but not too broad.

You must have a Works Cited page, on which there will appear the primary source and the article you choose.
Length 500 – 700 words (2-3 pages, plus one Works Cited page), including your own commentary and analysis and quotations from the primary source and literary criticism
