Week 8 Discussion
This week, we’re learning about setting and the importance of setting to the story. To understand this better, read Writing Dynamic Settings by Kimberly Applecline. Please pick one of the two stories we are reading this week and write about the following in 150 words or more:

Describe the setting and what you find interesting about it. Give 1-2 specific examples of where the author really did a great job in describing the setting.
Talk about how the setting contributes to the story — and how the story would be different if the setting were not the same.
Talk about the characters’ relationship to the setting and how (and if) the setting connects to their specific actions, desires, etc.
Be sure to discuss all levels — time, the larger place, the larger world, the intimate space of the setting,
