The final term paper is due by the end of the semester (8 April 2022). Unless agreed
otherwise in advance of the due date, the term paper must be on the topic set out in your proposal and it
should incorporate any feedback received from the instructor. The paper will be on a topic of your choosing
that is related to an issue(s) concerning the economics of health and / or health care in Canada. Topics will
be discussed in class. Your term paper will mainly provide a description or review of the chosen topic,
drawing on literature and data that are freely available to students. Detailed and advanced statistical analysis
is not required but you should be able to at least provide some descriptive statistics related to the topic. Your
paper is not intended to be an opinion piece. The term paper should be 15-20 pages in length (double
spaced, 11-12 pt font, 1 inch margins). Full formatting guidelines and further details will be provided to
students in class and on Brightspace early in the semester.
