Select an Environmental or Sustainability issue that is going on in the World today that is of personal importance to you. Be sure to explain why the issue is import on a local and global scale, and include why it is of personal importance to you. If you are unsure about your topic, please discuss it with your professor.
Develop a strong thesis that clearly and concisely demonstrates an understanding of the complexities of the issue(s).
Use examples from your own experiences to support your thesis as you reflect on the topic.
Support your thesis by adding outside research to your own experiences related to the topic
Essay Format
Your essay should be a minimum of 1500 words; include total word count at the end of your paper. You will be penalized if your essay is less than 1500 or greater than 1700 words in length.
Use a minimum of 1 peer-reviewed sources and a minimum of 2 total sources (from course texts and/or peer reviewed research). More than the minimum number of sources are acceptable.
Make sure to cite each source in the body of your essay and include a Bibliography or Works Cited page at the end of your essay, formatted appropriately.
Use APA/MLA style for your citations and works cited. However, keep things simple: there’s no need to write an abstract, or use cover sheets, running headings, or excess margins and spacing.
You must submit your paper electronically on Canvas by the deadline outlined in the syllabus and in Canvas. Your paper will automatically be submitted to www.turnitin.com through Canvas. Please use a doc or docx file for your draft so I can add comments to it and you an make corrections for your final Essay.
