Write an Essay about hazards of chemicals and ways to prevent injuries.The final project is an analysis of an operating unit of an actual chemical plant, (1) Identify and assess potential hazards; and
(2) Recommend measures to eliminate or minimize the hazards.
The class has been divided into teams and each team has been assigned one section of the
SSI plant Each team will submit a written report as a package, to include worksheets,
illustrations, and a detailed technical paper.
The requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910,119(d) should be used as a guide for the
development of your package in terms of the analysis portion [part (1) above]. Your
recommendation for eliminating or minimizing the hazards should come from the materials
covered in the class and research conducted by team members [part (2) above].
