Tasks to complete Use evidence to justify all your answers This can be quotes, graphs, maps, etc Evidence can be both written and visual. You can use audio notes. Task One: (Achieved) Describe the social action: including the key features (at least three). What actions were taken? Who, what, where, when, how – provide information in detail Task Two: (Achieved) Describe the context in which social action happened. What did the society look like? What are the most important features of society e.g. groups, conflicts, issues, injustices etc. What happened that made action necessary? Why was action/change needed? Task Three: (Achieved) Choose at least one person who conducted the social action. Describe their viewpoints,their values and the perspectives that have influenced them. See the information below which outlines points of view, values and perspectives. You should be using these concepts in your answer. What was his/his/their viewpoint on the issue? What does he/she/they value? (how do you know this?) What perspectives is he/she/they influenced by? (What is the perspective? How do you know she/he/they were influenced by it?) Task Six: (Merit) Describe the consequences of the social action for individuals and society You should make reference to at least 3 consequences. These can be positive or negative. They can relate to a single person, community or a country. You must use evidence. How did the actions affect people and society? Who was impacted by this social action? How were they impacted? What effect did this have in the short term on individuals, groups or society? What effect did this have, or will have in the long-term on individuals, groups or society? Task Seven: (Excellence ) Evaluate the effectiveness of the social action including strengths, weaknesses and appropriateness of the actions taken. You must use evidence, the strengths and weaknesses of the action. You must make reference to at least two strengths and one weakness. You should make your own conclusions and use relevant evidence. How effective were the actions? What were the strengths and weaknesses of the actions taken? How appropriate were the actions taken? How was the choice of action appropriate? How was the choice of action inappropriate?
