Mary Shelley’s main theme in Frankenstein seems to be that the acquisition of some knowledge may be dangerous and the we should approach “forbidden knowledge” with great caution. Victor states (or does he forshadow?) “Learn from me, if not by my percepts, at least by my example, how dangerous is the acquirement of knowledge and how much happier that man is who believes his native town to be the world, the he who aspires to become greater than his nature will allow.” This warning is possibly more relevant today in our increasingly technological and scienve-oriented society.
Support or refute Victor Frankenstein’s warning about the dangers of the acquirement of certain types of knowledge, using current issues in the news or recent historical events as the basis for your argument, along with references to similar issues presented in Frankenstein.
You should have at least three resorces besides Frankenstein, two of which MUSTbe from a scholarly, peer edited journal.
