Once it is in the body, it has an effect on cellular respiration. Cyanide binds to a ferric ion within the mitochondria, thus blocking the reduction of oxygen to water. In turn, what effects do you think this would have on aerobic respiration? And why in the world do you think this has any application to bacteria???
