Write a specific sequence(from what time to what time in the film) analysis taken from a section of Fellini′s I vitelloni based on these three aspects: 1. What happens in this sequence? How do characters and relationships between them develop? Does it touch upon any key themes of the film? Where does this extract fit into the film as a whole? 2. Pay particular attention to mise en scène (locations, actors, costumes, props) and sound (diegetic and non-diegetic). Consider what significance these micro elements might have in terms of the macro elements identified above. 3. Look closely at cinematography (lighting, framing, composition, camera movement, depth of field) and editing (cuts, dissolves, etc.). How do these micro factors contribute to your understanding of the macro elements observed in the first viewing?
