Research a company THAT is not licensing their products. It must be an American company. This can be a company in apparel, accessories, children’s, shoes, cosmetics and home. It can be a celebrity or a retailer. You are to write a 6–8 page paper answering the following questions: You objective is to sale the idea of licensing the products to me ( the licensor). Make sure you do not use any company or celebrity that is licensing already. You will need to do lots of research on this.
1) Why did you choose this company to license? Make sure you give valid reasons on why you think this company would benefit from being license at this time. You need to back your facts with research.
2) What would be the terms and guarantees you would suggest for this company to be successful? Why do you think this will make the company successful but using these terms?
3) How would you secure Intellectual Property for this company? Be very specific on this question. There needs to be lots of research on this.
4) What would be some of the legal problems that could be a problem. How can you deter any of these legal problems?
5) Since counterfeiting is such a huge problem, what suggestions will you make so that it can eliminate from your “deal.” How would you deal with the issue of counterfeiting with your company.
You may use the lectures, your notes, your book BUT also I want to see research. Make sure you cite all research that you use. Use the APA method for writing this paper. Grammar will count. Make sure your have research the company and that they do not have a licensing agreement with anyone. Be creative in why this would work. You should cite at least 5 research (besides the book and lectures of this case study).
