Journal #23: Your Argument Style
When you engage in an argument with friends or family, or even strangers, how would you describe your argumentative style? Do you enjoy a good argument and think of it like a sport—for fun and for the purpose of exercising your intellectual skills? Or do you shirk away from arguments because they make you feel uncomfortable or even attacked? Do you even argue online with complete strangers? Have you ever gotten into an argument in a public setting? Are there certain topics or subjects that trigger you to the point where you cannot stay silent? Think back to times when you’ve made arguments about something that you cared about. Can you give a specific example to illustrate?
