Thank you for submitting this first submission for this deliverable for the NUR3643 course. For your next submission (submit changes in red), you have up to 3 deliverable submissions. I know it is shocking to see a “1”, but you are on the right track. Please accept the feedback and recommendations provided below. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Professor Trujillo.
Scenario
You are practicing on an acute care unit in a local hospital. During your recent shifts, you identified a practice problem that you would like to see changed. After discussing the issue with your direct supervisor and the Director of Nursing, they have asked that you research the current literature and propose an evidence-based practice solution to the identified practice problem.
Instructions
From your work or clinical experience, identify a potential practice problem and formulate an evidence-based practice question. Prepare a proposal for an evidence-based practice solution that includes the following.
Describe a potential practice problem
Formulate an evidence-based practice question
Locate and review two current, peer-reviewed, research articles that address the identified clinical problem
Appraise research findings
Propose an evidence-based practice solution

The references for the two studies were missing. Were they mentioned in the 1 reference provided? If so, that does not meet the requirements. Each study chosen should be the original source for that information.
ore 1.
This was an area where you had difficulty. There was 2 reference mentioned with objectives, results were given, but there were not in-text citations used, so oit was unclear what result went to which source, and I was unable to determine if these two studies would fit for the requirements of this area on the rubric, but they were not on the reference list.
This area should have 2 qualitative and 2 quantitative studies for mastery, and 1 quantitative, and 1 Qualitative to receive a “2”. It also is needed to have a complete research summary. See below for help:
Many people confuse qualitative and quantitative. How I remember is that QuaLitative has an “L” for language, and QuaNitative has an “N” for numbers.
Qualitative study #1
Qualitative study #2
Quantitative study #1
Quantitative study #2

There was information here, but it is not clear what reference this came from. This is a key area of the deliverable where you find 2-3 actual studies with complete research summaries to present and in-text citation use is essential here.
. It looks like you are starting to explore references and that is a great start! Unfortunately, one of the references was 18 years old, and was too old to use, and the other reference was not a study. There also was not a complete research summary done.
This area is where you had a little difficulty, which is not
uncommon for students.
There are 3 elements to keep in mind.
1. At least 2 studies from 2016-2021 that
support the practice change are needed (3 for mastery)
2.Complete research summary on
each research study-remember, I should get a firm idea of what the study was
about just by reading your summary
3. Studies must be directly related to your
practice change
How to find studies
GO to https://guides.rasmussen.edu/library
Searching for “Quantitative nursing study on __(your topic)___” or “Qualitative nursing study on __”your topic”_”
There was not a summary/descriiption of what was done. This is different from other nursing classes where just the research findings or sentences from the source are used, but in this class, we want a descriiption of what was done in the study. Think Deliverable 3, and that will help. . I should get a firm idea of what was done in the study, what was measured, how it was measured etc just by reading the summary. See below for help developing your summaries.
The methodology, or the how the study was done was missing what was done in the study. This is so important in this course! Imagine telling someone how to make a recipe, but leaving out all of the steps it took to make it- describing studies is the same concept
Do not forget to add the sample size- this is important. A study with 2 people is not as believable as a study with 1000 people in it.
