Research from Early U.S. History. Your topic must be relevant to U.S. History from 1600 to 1860. Create a 3-5 page research paper, including appropriate references and citations of scholarly articles, found through the Salem LiRN, Google Scholar, or other scholarly source, discussing the impact of your topic on U.S. history and culture. Your paper should include the following: Background on the Person, Place, or Event Historical Context of the Person, Place, or Event – why was that person, place, or event important during its time period? Impact – how has this person, place, or event affected U.S. history or culture? This can be from the time period, over time, or even in our current culture today. Reflection – how has this person, place, or event personally impacted your life/experience in the U.S. or abroad? How might it affect you in the future?
