Thinking of your current or most recent employer, think of a change that the organization needs to implement. Describe how you could use Lewin’s change model to effectively implement the needed change. 3. As the lead consultant for Workplace Solutions Consulting, you are the one to deliver recommendations for organizational change to the management of the Informational Technology team. Some of the ideas involve centralizing or merging some duplicated leadership functions in regional locations and others involve de-centralizing product departments to break down silo walls across locations. You collected significant data in order to conduct the best analysis, including job analysis data, product department functions to identify similar functions across groups, etc. You may consider organizing product departments by function instead of by-product. The bottom line: although all of these changes are for the better for the organization, they will be quite disruptive to the personnel at IS. a. You want to use the data you collected in order to arrive at the most informed decisions possible regarding changes to the organization. Using change management concepts, what steps would you follow and what information would you collect to ensure sound data-driven decisions? b. It is now time to execute the reorganization of Informational Technology. Describe how you would implement and communicate the following, based on models of change management: The centralization (making one designated role/dept for each) of Finance and HR (no jobs lost, but increased specialization and responsibility). The de-centralization of the separate product departments (break up of existing teams, reforming new teams, and new reporting relationships).
