ADDITIONAL PAPER REQUIREMENTS
1. Students choose their paper title/topic which must relate to a policy issue/problem in Texas: **EXAMPLE: Texas Cities and Homeless Populations
2. Students do not need their paper title/topic approved by the professor.
3. The submitted/uploaded paper must be/required 7 (seven) pages (Minimum).
**including the Title Page and Reference/Sources Page, otherwise; it will not be accepted and receive 0 points.
4. Double spaced /all pages.
5. Place page numbers anywhere on each page of the paper.
6. Students will not be allowed to rewrite the paper once it is submitted to the professor or if it does not meet these requirements and therefore, is unacceptable.
7. Students will be provided feedback/my comments about their paper in terms of acceptable or not acceptable, as well as, grade points for an accepted/unaccepted paper in their course in Blackboard.
8. Page 1: List only the below information in the exact below order.
a. Last name, First name, as listed exactly on your ACC records.
b. Class Name.
c. Class numbers (5 numbers) which are located at the top of page 1 in this syllabus.
*Select only the 5 numbers for your course (not both of them).
9. Page 2: BEGIN THE RESEACH PAPER WITH
a. HEADINGS: I, II, III, IV in which an EXAMPLE is provided in this
syllabus.
b. The required information for each HEADING is also explained in this
syllabus.
c. Do not separate each HEADING with their required information on separate
sheets of paper because the paper is not an outline, but a research paper with
continuous information separated by HEADINGS: I, II, III , IV.
10. Last Page (s): *References/Sources Page (s)
a. Use Only Internet/Online References/Sources.
b. *Minimum* Seven (7) *DIFFERENT References/Sources from the Internet
(Student Choice).
c. The paper will receive 0 points if there are fewer/less than the required *minimum
(7) seven *different* references from the Internet.
d. Students may use any reference/citation format (Student Choice).
e. The textbook or any information from it **cannot be used as a reference/source.
f. Student Choice/Font Size.
