Please I have uploaded some resources, please use them. I have also provided a list of other resources at the end of the description .Feel free to use other resources too. Format: Introduction Specification of the scope of the paper defining; the food product; location of production; and any assumptions about the processing, transportation, packaging, etc. Description of the green and blue water uses in the chosen system throughout its life cycle. Water scarcity footprint For at least one component of the product, calculate the green and blue water consumption using the CROPWAT model (Allen et al., 1998; FAO, 2009) and weather data for the chosen location (FAO, .). If you choose a processed product, provide a detailed calculation for the green and blue water consumption of the major ingredient, but literature values (or estimates) can be used for the other ingredients. The detailed results from CROPWAT should be included in an appendix to the paper. For blue water only, estimates of the water use and consumption at each stage of production and assumptions about truncation (., water uses that have been excluded on the basis that they make a trivial contribution to the total water consumption). This will include the results from (a) above, and appropriate estimates from published sources. Using appropriate factors for water scarcity (Boulay et al., 2017; Boulay and Lenoir, 2020), estimate the water scarcity footprint (ISO, 2014) of the product and where (location) the footprint has the potential for the largest impact on water scarcity. Industrial phase I am not expecting a detailed calculation of water consumption in the industrial phase. You can use published estimates from other sources, but you must state your sources and assumptions. You may need to extrapolate values from other, analogous, production systems. I am not concerned about the precision of the estimates, rather, the fact that you have included plausible values, that you have justified, is more important. Water management A discussion of the potential environmental impacts (water quantity and quality) of water use in the system. A critical discussion of approaches to reduce the environmental impacts on water. A critical perspective is needed; not purely descriptive. Marks will be awarded for content (coverage and correctness), the logical development of the argument, use of examples and case studies to support your argument, and presentation. There is a word limit of 2 000 words (excluding references and tables). Include the number of words on the cover page. If the paper is longer the marker will ignore any text beyond the word limit. Original data analysis should be included as an appendix to the paper and does not count towards the word limit. Cite reference material in the body of the paper and list these at the end according to the APA7 method. Marking scheme Introduction 10% Water scarcity footprint 40% Water management 40% Presentation, including style and referencing. 10% Useful paper Although this paper does not follow the assignment exactly, it does give a useful case study of an assessment of the impacts of a food product (in this case, sugar) on the water environment.
