For the Week 4 Research Objectives, you will write a minimum of three research objectives based upon the selected management question, research question, and problem statement from Week 3.
Guidelines for writing research objectives:
Cover the different parts of the research problem and its factors in a clear and logical manner;
Are phrased in correct research/measurement terms, specifying precisely what you are planning, what you are interested in finding out, who will be surveyed (male, female, children, teens), and when (timely);
Are realistic and achievable;
Are specific in order to be evaluated/measured
Use action verbs such as to determine, to measure, to identify, to verify, to calculate, to describe, and to establish. Avoid non-action verbs such as to study or to understand.
Examples of research objectives:
Research Objective 2 – Identify causal issues effecting employee morale (required dress code, shift hours, pay, benefits, etc.).
Research Objective 3 – Determine the best solutions for addressing the issues effecting employee morale at Sharkys.
As the research objective examples above demonstrate, it is very common for a research problem statement to require more than one research objective.
