What was the topic and purpose of part 2 of the lab?
Method – How did you determine the properties and structures of each rock? How did you use these properties and structures to identify the environment of deposition?
Results – Take each group of rocks in turn. What rocks did you identify? What was the environment of deposition of each of the groups of rocks? What features did you identify in each group that led to this conclusion? Include your answers to the questions above, and your tables and sketches in this part of the report.
Discussion – What uncertainties did you have when trying to identify the environments? Why did you need several rocks for each? How did the combination of features from different rock help you build the complete picture?
Conclusions – Brief summary of your findings.
