Details below. The date that this will take place. Use that date as the day that I am going without electronic. Some items to use are that I went to the beach, played lacrosse with friends, went out to dinner with friends and any other ideas you come up with. Include that this was difficult not speaking with friend and family and that this did not allow me to do classwork. These are just some ideas to include.

Students will abstain from use of ALL electronic media devices for a period of no less than 24 hours. This may be done at any time during the semester prior to deadline for the reflective essay. The three-page follow-up paper will describe the day, time, and experiences of the student. It should be written in narrative form, reflecting on intra- and interpersonal changes brought about by the change of media environment. Careful planning for this project is important and is the responsibility of each student. Keeping a log for the 24-hour period is strongly recommended to assist you upon starting to write. Students can and should begin processing their calendar / schedule as early as possible in order to best meet the criteria for the experiment and allow time for writing. The general “specs” for assignments can be viewed on the syllabus, including that APA style must be utilized. Here are the specific directions, with purposeful repetition:
