Case #5 – You are hiring a sales person and you wish to update the hiring process, selection procedures, to ensure non-discrimination. You have already recruited for the position and have match the minimum advertised requirements from the job description and the recruitment ad to these applications. You have use this to select 5 candidates for interviews. Please list and explain any pre-testing that you should do or can do before the candidate is interviewed. List and explain any testing or other demonstration of knowledge, skills, and abilities that you can test for in the interview, and lastly; list and explain any and all testing that you can conduct as a conditional job offer. Also, list and explain when in the process you can check references of previous jobs and personal references. Using the “course resources” and googling, please (1) locate the laws and regulations you must follow and (2) provide a detailed plan on how you will accomplish this goal.
