Summarizing an article on a subject matter discussed in class. Students will select an article from the list prepared by the instructor. (I will upload the article and Rubric.)
Rationale: This assignment will provide students with an opportunity to critically review peer-reviewed articles, describe their content, conclusions, and identify possible implications to nursing practice related to the care of older adults.
Assessment Criteria:
The summary should examine the following items:
Describe the content of the chosen article: what it is about; its rationale; purpose, aim, or objectives; research questions (if any); key findings; and conclusions.
What are the implications to nursing practice in the care of older adults?
How is the subject matter of the article relevant to you?
Describe your reaction to the article; that is, its usefulness to you; did it give you new insight? Did it leave you with further questions?
