Choose two of the following five leadership theories—Situational, Transactional, Transformational, Adaptive, and Servant—and cite a biblical example for each. Focusing on the key distinctives of each theory, explain what in that particular biblical leader’s behavior exemplified a specific aspect of the theory. Two examples: 1) When you are looking at Situational leadership, look at the leader in terms of how he or she employed each of the four styles (directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating) to meet the developmental needs of the followers, and 2) In terms of transactional leadership, what was the transaction or exchange between the leader and the follower? In other words, who gained what? The key to answering this discussion board question is to provide the rationale as to why something in the person’s behavior made you link it with that particular theory.
