Each student will choose a current (2018-2021) published article or chapter from a recent (2018-2021) book and after a complete and thorough study of the article or chapter, write and submit a 5-page (typed, double spaced) analysis and critique of the article or chapter, by the due date. Place a copy of the article or chapter in an Appendix to the report. The report will be graded on the student’s ability to demonstrate the following research capabilities in his/her study and analysis of the article or chapter: Analysis of material content [50 points]. What does the article or chapter say? Determine the accuracy, relevance, and reliability of the information. Is there anything unique about the information provided? Critique [30 points]: What major insights do the article or chapter contribute? What key lessons can we learn from the article or chapter? What are the main shortcomings of the article or chapter? (That is, what weaknesses do the article or chapter have in addressing the topic with which it deals?) Evaluate the article or chapter in a detailed and analytical manner. Grammar/English [20 points]: The paper will be graded on grammar (e.g., spelling, punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement. Use Grammarly.
