Paper 4 Discussion Board Question 4: What is a nursing or interprofessional “theory” at the philosophy, conceptual model, or grand theory level that will be applicable in your future advanced nursing practice role (Physchiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) Briefly describe a nursing or interprofessional “theory” (i.e., a philosophy, conceptual model, or grand theory – from the list that has been pre-approved by the course faculty; see the NSC 840 Handout: Nurse Theorists/Nursing “Theories”**; or that you obtain approval to use for this paper from the course faculty and/or course facilitator, as applicable, prior to beginning preparation for and/or writing Paper 4 if you desire to use a nursing or interprofessional (e.g., a/an basic human needs theory, developmental theory, education theory, ethical theory, family theory, public health theory, rural theory, systems theory) “theory” not on the pre-approved list for Paper 4. “Theories” on the pre approved list for Paper 5 cannot be used for Paper 4 as only “theories” at the philosophy, conceptual model, or grand theory level can be used for Paper 4. Additionally, include a brief discussion of the applicability of the “theory” for your chosen advanced practice nursing role. There is not a set number of references for this paper; however, you must include at least one primary reference for the “theory” on which you are writing (i.e., authored by the author(s) of the “theory”) and, as above, you must include a primary reference for any and all material that comes from a referenced source.
