You have already found your sources and outlined your paper in the World Mythology Term Paper Outline assignment, so now is when you actually write your final edited paper. Your term paper must be at least 1500 words minimum, and includes the following:
1. Thesis (note with an asterisk: *)
2. 5 sources, 2 of them books, cited in proper MLA format.
3. 8 quotes (not paraphrases! actual quotes from sources, in “”) minimum from your sources, including the theorist.
4. Support your argument with quotes from the theorist you picked in your proposal from Parallel Myths.
5. Exposition and analysis of your classical myth, with appropriate classical & legitimate source.

Ovid makes it plain from the first sentence of his Metamorphoses that he is not writing a
standard epic. “My thinking carries me to speak about bodies altered into new shapes,”
he writes (I.1 — 2), stating unequivocally that his purpose is to create something new.
The modern myth or “legend” as we call it that shows those qualities is the avengers. In
their avengers saga they choose different paths, going the way that they think it’s right
not just because everyone else thinks it’s right. Being heroes they are, they are more
like a symbol of gods for us. As Janet suggests in page 281 Janet writes “societies need
religion and myth in order to function” later on in the next page she says “the old religion
was completely supplanted by these new faiths”. This was said at the same year that
speculations came up and advanced that “ myths were an expression of images in the
unconscious mind. So technically religions and myths change over time and avengers
show that in the form of heroes. Heroes that we value and feel conceded as a society .
