C. Wright Mills said the sociological imagination means we look at our world like an outsideras though it doesnt already make sense to us. Please find two items in your living environment. (For example, I might choose paper napkins and a potted plant.) Now, using at least one sociological concept from the chapters in this module (for example social roles, networks, agency, alienation, or any other word in bold), look at the items and tell us about the following:
o Why does this product exist?
o What does this product tell us about the society that uses it?
o What does the item’s design, packaging, or general popularity tell you about its meaningful qualities and why they are valued? (For instance, I might talk about disposability and a desire to be close to nature for my items)
