This is a Narrative Essay request and should be on the prompt below which is based off the novel/book “Of Mice and Men”.
Prompt: The novel uses the characters to show how groups of people were treated back in the 1930s. Choose 2 -3 characters, what groups of people they represented, and how they were treated in the 1930s.
Please remember that the thesis statement is directly answering the prompt and therefore should come with the number of reasons that will become CLAIMS (aka topic sentence). Example of a thesis statement for prompt: “John Steinbeck used the characters in Of Mice and Men to represent different groups of people during the 1930s. For instance, Lennie represents mentally disable people during the 1930s.”
Things for essay:
– when adding in data, should have a minimum of 2 data pieces and 2 warrants in each body paragraph.
– should always write the author’s first and last name the very first time it is mentioned and after that only last name.
– when citing, it should always be last name of author page # : example (Steinbeck 4)
– Of Mice of Men is a novel and therefore should be put in italics.
