Assignment 3 (50%) (Alterative assessment) Instruction: COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus, is a new strain of infection that emerged at the end of 2019 and has since spread to over 140 countries, with more than 250,000 confirmed cases around the globe. Impacts of the virus are far-reaching and continue to ripple throughout the world as businesses and people in their everyday lives get acclimated to their new reality. For hospitality industry, before COVID-19 slammed the breaks on the air travel, the revenue forecasts for the global hotel trade were looking rosy. Corporate travel expenditure alone was projected in some forecasts to grow into a $1.7 trillion industry mega-segment by 2023. However, everything now changed, and the situation seem too challenging especially to the organizations within the industry to survive. In this assignment, students are required to review four (4) journal articles that have been published starting from 2018 (to the present) with the topic related to the “business survival strategies”. To complete the task, students are then required to produce an academicals critique towards the information highlighted in each of the academic papers that been reviewed earlier. In the critique, there are three (3) elements need to be given as focus by students, whereby; 1.To identify the impact created by the CONVID-19 pandemic to the hospitality industry. 2.To determine the mechanism of survival strategies used by the organization in the hospitality industry during this CONVID-19 pandemic. 3.To discuss the feasibly of the strategies to the current situation of hospitality industry during this CONVID-19 pandemic.
