In an effort to deepen your understanding of the course material, you will process the insights you have
gained in a personal learning journal. Each day of class you summarize on one page what you consider to
be your major insights about the theme. What are your personal take-aways in terms of counter
intuitive aspects, metaphors, concepts or models that can help you to support digital transformation?
What new paradigms have you picked up in class? What are your lessons learned from in class
discussions and case work? At the courses closure, you combine the different parts of your journal into
an integrated paper, including an introduction and conclusion. The latter brings together a number of
overarching insights and your key take aways on organizing for the digital future, while demonstrating
a critical sense.
Your learning journal will be assessed on the following criteria:
– Thoroughness: discussion of three pillars, intro & conclusion, addresses the above questions.
– Quality: depth of analysis, ability to synthesize, critical view, integration theory & practice.
– Professionalism: presentation of materials, writing, appropriate citations.
