In light of the readings discussing the various measurements of crime (e.g., UCR, NIBRS, etc..) propose a new way to capture the picture of crime and discuss how you believe it would provide a better “picture” of the crime that occurs in our society than the instruments currently used.
Discuss what you believe to be the main concern regarding the current crime data instruments and its connection to victimization. How can we better identify and help victims if we do not know that victimization has taken place from an official record keeping capacity?
