Final Project – EthnoGraphic Comic Strip Story: For your final project, you will choose one of the articles, films, project desсrіptions, or other resources from the syllabus (or one you find and provide on your own with prior approval) and create a comic strip that includes between 8 to 15 panels to tell the story of a research project, case study, or research problem solved. You should include details about the problem presented, the proposed way to approach or address the problem (that involves anthropological thinking), the methods used, results or findings, and solutions. Keep in mind as you choose the resource you will dramatize in your comic strip that it should be one that you can use to tell a research design story with clear findings or a solution presented. You might ask yourself the following questions to be sure it’s a good choice: Does it contain information about all of the steps of research design and study? Do you have enough information to draw conclusions about cultural context or what people might say about what they are feeling, seeing, observing, or finding? Is there a particular theoretical or organizational approach the researchers take or discuss? Is there an interesting or surprising finding in the study or an ah-ha moment? Reflection on Comic Strip Context (up to one page): Include a short reflection about the process of putting together this assignment that answers the following questions: 1. What is unique about this cultural context of this study? Could this question be asked in the same way everywhere in the world? Why or why not? 2. How do the anthropological methods used in this study provide information or data that is different from quantitative, survey, or big data? 3. What key tenants of anthropological thinking related to culture (such as ethnocentrism, cultural relativism, naive realism) are evident in this example and why?
