My personal nursing philosophy that my paper should be based on – “As a nurse, I want to provide individualized, ethical, and equitable care to every patient I see in the hospital to support their individual goals for healthcare, rather than seeing only the disease they present with. I hope to make them feel comfortable, respected, and confident in my ability as a nurse and advocate. ” Part 1: (Create a ladder of abstraction to show the relationship between your personal nursing philosophy, and existing nursing grand and mid-range theories)share your overarching theory-based personal philosophy of care or the “worldview” for your practice. You should draw ideas and concepts from your readings and experiences throughout the course, but the final product should be uniquely yours: how will you take everything you’ve learned and build it into a constructive, usable and versatile theory-based nursing philosophy and professional practice model? Include and discuss in your paper a ladder of abstraction to illustrate the connection between the core philosophical, theoretical, and empirical components that are the backbone of your theory-based nursing philosophy and the subsequent practice model you propose in part 2 of the paper. Part 2: Commitment to Change (Describe how you envision implementing AND evaluating your theory-based model for practice that is designed to influence change and/or improve the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and systems where your practice as a nurse) Once you have shared/written about and described your theory-based philosophy of nursing, you will present your plan for implementing your philosophy via a proposed professional practice model. Remember you are NOT DEVELOPING a grand or middle range THEORY. You will demonstrate how you would USE THEORY for a blueprint of your personal nursing practice. How will you evaluate the implementation of your theory-based practice model? What needs, situations, and/or problems can your theory-based practice model address, confront, and impact (i.e. health/patient outcomes, systems of care, and the discipline of nursing overall)? How might your “worldview”/personal theory-guided philosophy of nursing inform and improve the lives of your coworkers and patients? This section expresses your commitment to improve—not just in your practice—but for the broader scope of nursing as a discipline. I have attached a sample paper provided by professor
