Essentially, this type of politics focuses on the use of power to affect decision-making in an organization, sometimes for self-serving and organizationally unsanctioned behaviors. In your observation, discuss a situation where politics played a part in the organization. How did that happen? What were the results? What power tactic(s) was used to influence the results? 2. Because structure is a means to achieve objectives, and objectives derive from the organizations overall strategy, its only logical that structure should follow strategy. In your opinion, why is it important for an organization to align its strategy with its structure? What can happen if the structure doesnt follow a strategy?
