Odysseus and Oedipus could easily both be seen as heroes, as they perform great deeds for the sake of others. Both, however, seem to be afflicted by the same tragic flaw of “hubris.” In at least one full page, write about whether or not Oedipus displays “hubris,” which is the Greek word for “excessive pride.” Is his pride really excessive? Does his pride affect his fate?
