Using whatever medium you choose your task for the final is to combine all that you have learned thus far in order to deeply analyze the personality of a fictional character of your choosing. I want you to give me a complete personality profile. Who is this person? Tell me about the intricacies of their personality. What would your favorite perspective have to say about them? Do they have any personality disorders?
Introduction to the Character. Here youll go in detail about who this person is objectively answering things like: Name, age, where they are from, what they do, hobbies, likes, dislikes etc. Basic stuff
Introduction to Characters Personality. Now youll get into some assumption territory. Here you will talk about at least 5 personality traits you know that this character has. explain the traits themselves and talk about the scenario based evidence/examples that leads you to believe that they possess these traits. Do the traits change at all throughout the characters story?
Add some perspective. Utilize one of the perspectives discussed in class or one you know to analyze the character. What would this perspective say about this characters behavior, motives, desires, and overall personality? Think about a measure that this perspective might use in order to find out more.
Personality Disorders. Do you believe this character deals with any of the 10 DSM-5 personality disorders? If yes which one(s)? explain in detail how and why youve come to this conclusion using the definitions and examples of behavior/thoughts related to this disorder. If no discuss in detail how this character doesnt exhibit behavior/thoughts related to the personality disorders. In other words describe to me how well adjusted they are personality wise.
