(a) provide a background/introduction to the topic by integrating course and outside materials as appropriate (e.g., the use of peer-reviewed research, a case vignette, a desсrіption of a policy, etc.) as appropriate (b) summarize your chosen topic and why it is a significant problem that constitutes injustice Be sure to lean on criminological research in crafting your argument. Statistics, for example, are a great way to illustrate the severity of a problem and briefly summarizing a supporting study or two would do this very well! (c) discuss the substantive importance of this topic and your arguments for how to create meaningful policy-based changes by suggesting potential improvements At least one scholarly source should be cited and used during your presentation. If your group feels it will be helpful, of course, you may use additional sources, but please be sure all sources used in your presentation are directly related to the topic your group has chosen. Scholarly sources include books, empirical peer-reviewed journal articles, and media sources from appropriate, well-known outlets (i.e., The Associated Press, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Atlantic, etc.)
