Use any and everything you have learned in this or other classes and in your fieldwork to answer the questions below on a document. I attached readings to help guide answer the questions. You do not need to directly quote the readings/articles instead use them to gain further knowledge to adequately answer the questions below.
1. After this quarter, what qualities do you think an effective teacher possesses?
2. How does a great middle school teacher engage, motivate and manage all types of middle school students?
3. What role do you see technology playing in middle school teaching?
4. What did you learn about middle school teaching or resources?
5. Describe 2 or 3 of the students from your mentor’s classroom, including what interests they have, how they learn best, and any other observations you made or things you learned that would help you teach them. (For this one you can talk about one student: Alhadi, who is one to enjoy talking with everyone but can distract the entire class. I usually allow him to work independently outside because he learns best not sitting inside the classroom the entire time, as he easily get distracted from others around him. Another student: Sasha, at times she does not find the material engaging, she does not like to participate with her table group because she does not have any friends in her table group. With Sasha, I allow her to find a friend in the classroom to work together as it allows her to engage in the material.) You can elaborate more based on what I wrote about these two students to answer the question.
