Next, after completing one of the above options, please prepare a two (2) page paper (single or double-spaced) that
connects your out of class experience with one or more themes we have analyzed in class. Your paper should not
exceed two pages.
In the first paragraph of your paper, please describe your out of class experience and provide the relevant facts. For
example, if you viewed a court session, who were the parties and the judge, and what were the relevant issues? If
you viewed a government session, what government organization did it involve, who was in attendance, and what
were the relevant issues discussed? If you interviewed a practicing attorney, what is their name and area of
expertise?
In the remaining page and a half or so of the paper, please identify one or more themes or issues that you observed or
identified in your out of class experience and analyze the theme(s) or issue(s) within the context of one or more of
the following questions:
What was similar or different between what you experienced and what we discussed in class? Any
surprises?
What was the most important lesson you learned or key takeaway that you identified as a result of this
assignment supplementing what you learned in class?
How will this learning experience inform, guide, or affect your business career? Be specific. Did you learn
anything about yourself or what you want to do in your career?
