For the final paper, you will select a play and propose a production of it. In 5-8 pages, you will describe what your play is about, why you selected that play, what your production will look like, and what makes your production compelling and/or important in 2021. Papers should be double-spaced, in 12-pt type font, and use MLA citations.
Successful projects will include the following information:
A brief summary and production history of your selected play
A rationale for selection
A production description, including:
Acting/Directing styles or approaches
Design and technical elements, including a description of the space where the performance takes place
Ideal circumstances for production (i.e. is the playwright alive? Will they be joining your rehearsal process/making changes?)
A conclusion discussing why your production is important/interesting/urgent/compelling/etc.
