Govt essay topic: Absentee Ballots, Discuss the debate over Absentee Ballots. Compare and contrast three different methods that three different states adopt on absentee ballots. Focus in particular on (1) criteria for qualifying to submit in an absentee vote in the different states, (2) whether or not registered voters are automatically mailed a ballot or they have to formally request one, and (3) verification rules. Essays should be 2-3 pages. There should be a minimum of two citations and these should be quality sources from scholarly journals; i.e., secondary sources. If you are taking a position on a controversial issue in any format be sure to acknowledge and respond to the strongest arguments against your thesis and at least one of these citations must be to a source contrary to your thesis.
