•Grendel’s mother-This was a surprise to everyone but Beowulf is still confident he can fight this monster too. -Instead of waiting he goes into the swap to fight the monster-Almost dies but still fights on because he has to bring honour to all the men who have struggled with these monsters. -He keeps looking for a way to fight the monster, and gets lucky when he finds a sword that’s made by the giants that he uses to fight the monster -His reason for this fight is that he yet again wants to be the hero and also because the monster is now angry at the person who killed her son.
