This Narrative is based on the novel “The Road” by Cormac Mcarthy and requires knowledge of the book to complete it, I have attached it in the additional materials.
In The Road, Cormac McCarthy uses many different techniques to help him narrate his story. He uses tricks like simple syntax, pared-down dialogue, the juxtaposition of short and long sentences, ungrammatical punctuation, McCarthy’s style underscores his thematic purpose.

Extra Notes:
Mccarthy has a specific style of writing that is very important that you follow that is a big part of this grade, characters in this book don’t have names unless it is SUPER relevant, the main characters are named “the boy” and “the man”.
