As many ways as social difference and social affinity can potentially take shape, its often worth it to reflect directly on how the various human senses factor into the mix. This week we will focus on some explorations of diaspora and transnationalism that foreground the space of sensation. How do various aspects of diasporic and transnational life take form where perception typically happens without things being spelled out? What sorts of information or details or expressions are best communicated and understood by way of sound or smell?
