Proposal The paper proposal consists of an introduction to your issue and song as well as an explanation of the position you intend to take on this issue in your paper. The proposal consists of two paragraphs and a tentative thesis statement: In your first paragraph, introduce your issue. Give a rough background of the song and issue you intend to address. In the second paragraph, explain your position on your issue, raise questions you hope to answer, and create a thesis about the meaning of the song.
