Expand on Essay 1 so it is 3-4 pages by referring to two articles on Anton Chekov’s “The Three Sisters.” Use quotes from these articles to deepen your analysis. You can also use a film on Chekhov from “Films on Demand”. Since you have already referred to one article for Essay 1, you just need one more.
You can use the articles from the NCC library database (Literary Criticism; JSTOR; Twayne; and Academic Search Complete). Re-read the play to deepen your analysis.
Grading for the documented paper is based on how well you incorporate quotes from the play and the articles, cite them both in-text as well as in Works Cited, using MLA Style format. (Attached is the MLA Style Sheet for your convenience). Grading: Citatation and quotes: 50%; revision of content, using my suggestions in Essay 1: 40%; grammar and punctuation: 10%.
You can use my comments on Essay 1 to make your documented paper more focused and organized. Go to “My Grades” on BB to view my corrections.

Topic sentence for each paragraph, developed with examples from the play, and analysis.
Quotes from the play to develop the main argument and analysis of quotes.
Quotes from two articles from the NCC library databases and analysis of the quotes. These quotes need to blend in with your main ideas.

In-text citation for all quotes. Follow MLA citation format (see Learning Modules 8 and 3), and attached handout.
Works Cited page: List the play and the two articles in alphabetical order. This should follow MLA format. (See Learning Module 8 and 3) and attached handout. You can use the following citation for the play, if you are reading it on the Learning Module 2 on Blackboard:
Chekhov, Anton. “The Three Sisters.” Introduction to Literature. Lumen Learning, 2020 . https://courses.lumenlearning.com/introliterature/. Accessed September 27, 2021.
Length: 3-4 pages, plus Works Cited page, 12 font, double space. Send as single Word doc attachment on Blackboard.

If articles are cited in Works Cited but are not quoted or discussed in the essay, then the citations are invalid.
