Investigate the place of forgiveness in interpersonal conflict. It is relatively recently that forgiveness has been scientifically studied. It began as a field back in the 1980s. Before that, forgiveness was pretty much thought of as purely in the religious domain. Now it is empirically proven how essential forgiveness is to conflict resolution and what the benefits are not only to the relationship, but to ones overall health, well-being, and even physical longevity.
